Daniel A. Pizarro (they/them/elle) is a queer, first-generation Peruvian and Puerto Rican living in Atlanta, Georgia. With over seven years of experience in grassroots organizing, political education, solidarity building, and research, they are a dedicated abolitionist community organizer. Daniel holds a master’s degree in Anthropology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Georgia State University, where they deepened their commitment to collective liberation.

Currently serving as Organizing Manager, Daniel focuses on anti-crimmigration campaigns that disproportionately affect disabled, marginalized communities. They bring a disability justice framework to local movements, including Stop Cop City and immigration defense initiatives. In their free time, Daniel writes poetry exploring freedom and liberation and enjoys reading, dancing, and photography.

Daniel’s organizing journey began with Southerners on New Ground (SONG), fighting to end cash bail and immigrant detention. In 2020, they co-founded the Buford Highway People’s Hub, a political education collective empowering immigrant communities through workshops and cultural organizing. As the Volunteer Coordinator for the Cop City Referendum Coalition in 2022, they managed hundreds of volunteers and partner organizations to secure 116,000 signatures for a ballot referendum to challenge Cop City. Their fight for justice continues.
