Frederick Joseph (he/him) is an award-winning marketing and communications executive recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 for Marketing & Advertising and Ad Age as a Marketer of the Year. With over 15 years of experience leading brand strategy, content marketing, and audience engagement, he has worked with some of the world’s most influential companies, media platforms, and nonprofits to craft compelling narratives that drive cultural impact and business growth.
As Senior Vice President of Brand, Content, and DEI at Twitter, Joseph played a key role in shaping the company’s global marketing strategy, overseeing cross-platform campaigns, and developing partnerships that strengthened Twitter’s brand positioning.
Prior to Twitter, Joseph founded We Have Stories, a social impact marketing agency that collaborated with major brands and entertainment companies. His work included leading marketing and influencer outreach for HBO’s Watchmen, driving brand engagement for Nike x Jimmy Jazz, and directing high-visibility campaigns for Wendy Williams, Inc. He has also held senior marketing roles at Auburn, Classroom Inc., Catholic Charities, and CityLimits.org, where he developed brand strategies, executed large-scale initiatives, and led teams in content creation, PR, and digital marketing.
Beyond marketing, Joseph is a two-time New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, whose books include Patriarchy Blues, The Black Friend, and the forthcoming This Thing of Ours.
