Additional Context & Our Stance:

The new tax court would have the same power as superior courts in counties, so this new court could make fixing tax problems quicker and more efficient for taxpayers. This change could prevent bias in handling issues with the Georgia Department of Revenue. Bias is a preference for or against something, often in a way that’s unfair. Some people worry it will make the government more complicated. Filing taxes can be particularly difficult for disabled people, such as those with intellectual disabilities. But, this could make it easier to fix problems or mistakes.

Disabled voters and those who care about us should vote YES Georgia Amendment 2: “Creation of Tax Court.”
