Jocelyn Mondragón [she/her/ella] serves as the Communications Associate of New Disabled South. She is a first generation Chicana from the deep south of Louisiana. Jocelyn brings over 8 years of experience in community organizing and digital activism through her platforms as @jocyofthedragons across social media.
Jocelyn’s lived experience as a Disabled Chicana informs her work and perspective on Disability Justice and Immigrant Rights. Recently, Climate Justice has been central in her work as a survivor of a natural disaster. Jocelyn has spoken at nonprofit organizations, universities, and political campaigns, and her name can be found in online publications such as NowThis, BuzzFeed, Forbes, and New York Times.
Jocelyn currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her two mischievous cats Frida y Fiona. In her spare time, Jocelyn likes to create social media content for her platforms and decorate her casita.
